SD Chargers broadcaster suspended over "anti-Semitic" joke

Former San Diego Chargers football player and current Charger radio analyst and broadcaster Hank Bauer has been "suspended from announcing the team’s final preseason game for invoking a Jewish stereotype in an exchange with his on-air colleague," the Jewish Telegraph Agency reported today.

In the waning moments of Aug. 24th’s Chargers-49ers preseason football game, play-by-play man Josh Lewin said if he were paying to attend he would not have left early, as many fans did, because of the high price of the tickets.

Bauer responded, “You know how copper wire was invented? Somebody dropped a penny between Josh and his family member.” Lewin is Jewish.

Bauer’s suspension was imposed by ClearChannel, the owner of Rock 105.3 KIOZ, the radio station that airs the team’s games.

“Although we know Hank had no ill-will behind his remarks, we agree the comments were inappropriate. Per Clear Channel’s decision, Hank will not be broadcasting Thursday night’s game,” the team said in a statement issued Wednesday.

Bauer has been the color commentator for the Chargers radio broadcasts in San Diego since 1998. He played for the Chargers between 1977 and 1982.
Of course, like all celebrities and media personalities accused of making "anti-Semitic" or "racist" jokes or innuendos (except for Anthony Cumia, God bless the man), Bauer almost immediately issued a pathetic public apology via Twitter:
“I made a hurtful insinuation that I regret and I would like to express how sorry I am. My poor choice of words were unfortunately open for negative interpretation, please know it was never my intention to offend any of my listeners. I hope you accept my apology."
That's political correctness at it's finest folks. In case you haven't noticed, the only group of people you are allowed to openly criticize, disparage, trash, and joke about are White people. Jews, Blacks, illegal aliens, Third World immigrants, homosexuals, transgendered freaks, and other "poor, persecuted" minorities must be praised and glorified at all times. If one does happen to make a politically incorrect remark or joke about these protected people, one is likely to lose their job, become ostracized from mainstream society, and otherwise become a stigmatized individual for daring to step outside the boundaries of the cultural Marxist thought police.

  1. The only caveat I'd add into your summation about who cannot be criticized is maybe white homosexuals, whose immunity only seems to apply when they're grouped with blacks or 'POC.' Kudos to you for not falling into the trap of ghettoizing white women with the 'oppressed,' as most (not all for younger ones) white women are only putatively immune. Even the younger ones are only allowed protection from 'white male' predation, not black or hispanic, or jewish. This is one place white women can come and not hear how 'privileged' they are. Thanks for that, John, you are way cute.

    1. John,
Yeah, I saw this BS on MSN last night. To me this shows that "jews" are getting even more nervous about the fact that more and more people are waking up to their BS, and they feel they have to "nip it in the butt" quickly to try and show their "power"!

  3. Surprise, surprise - the Anti-Defamation League called Bauer's ridiculous apology for a stupid joke that didn't truly offend anyone "inadequate". From the San Diego Union-Tribune:

Wednesday afternoon, Tammy Gillies, a regional director for the Anti-Defamation League, said it was pleased with the swift action but disappointed that Bauer "did not take full responsibility for his speech." Her statement continued: "We believe that his apology – as he phrased it – is inadequate. Bauer’s statement implies that a positive interpretation of his remarks exists; we disagree. While he clearly wants to put this incident behind him, we wish he had been courageous enough to take full ownership for his words."

  4. Next up will be Mr. Bauer taking a court ordered trip to the Holocaust Museum. Whatever happened to "Free speech" in America? It was a JOKE.

I am wondering about the last name, Bauer. The full name of the first demon of the Rothschild clan was named Bauer; Meyer Amschel Bauer Rothschild was the bankster's name and he infamously said, "Give me control over a people's money, I don't care who, or what forms their government, I will control those people." And, as we all know, that family has been squeezing copper into nano foil, indeed, they have done so with all precious metals; squeezed every last molecule and made it pretty much all disappear into their secret vaults.

Regarding the 'joke.' What is it with those Jewish creatures? They can't take a little a humour at their expense? Are they so thin skinned? Pretty much everyone but Muslims and Jews, have a sense of humour. When someone comes up with a clever joke about Dutch people, for example, I laugh; if the joke is clever. However, I have not heard too many clever jokes about Dutch people, who have a great self deprecating sense of humour. Nobody apologizes for the jokes, either. We laugh, because it is good to be able to laugh at oneself and one's countrymen. We are funny people. God knows, I laugh quite often at myself for some of the silly things I do from time to time. And, it is true: where money is concerned, Jews are historically infamous for their worship of Mammon. So, what's the problem? Everyone knows. And, it really isn't a joke, is it?

Mister Bauer's apology is a tragic example of what happens when the Jews are offended. They likely dug up some skeletons from one of Mr. Bauer's closets and showed him what's what. "Eyder ve get da apology, or ve hang out yor zkeletuns." Well, as we saw, 'they' got their apology and Bauer will have problems with his career from now on, likely.

As for Tammy Gillies comments, well, what is to be expected from something speaking for the ADL? ; a nest of lying vipers if ever there was one. Those creatures are so well versed in eloquent bull shit it really is amazing. They must learn it in their Talmud/Torah schools. I wonder what an adequate apology would have been? A public decapitation?

  7. First off, it's lousy joke. Is there anyone else man enough to admit they "don't get it?"

Anyone who every read my comments knows I have no fondness for Jews or Israel, but...

I've noticed what people are inclined towards cheapness/stinginess/tight with a buck.

Jews DO make the group. But, Ive worked at over thirty companies as a contractor. The only company that ever threw a going away party for me (my contract ended and the project was completed) was a thoroughly Jewish owned and run company.

The absolute cheapest individual I ever met (and this was in the 1970's) was Welsh-American on both sides (parents). He drove a huge 8 cylinder Chevy and he usually bought $1 or $2 in gas at a time. If he gave you a beer, he'd (literally) remember it indefinitely and bring it up. Welsh-American, number one.

Asians are cheap what seems like across the board.

The Scottish are cheap big time! They've had a reputation as being "frugal" for many decades. Half the world knows Scot's are cheap.

Jews are cheap, as I mentioned.

Hispanics are cheap. They have a firm and unyielding non-belief in tips.

Italians are a close relative to cheap. Italians are money hoarders. No matter how much an Italian has, they can't bear to part with a buck!

Armenians are cheap. I've only known a few, and they were all cheap. I had a "friend" in the late 90's. He was older than me. We met at the gym. I helped him move (he asked). 90 minutes to and from travel time for me. 11.5 hours moving this selfish ahole. He knew I was not working and broke at the time. He had an advanced degree and worked for the state and took home about $1,100 per week. (That's take home and in the late 90's.) Too cheap to buy lunch. In his 50's at the time, he still had his childhood dresser in his bedroom. What did this Armenian father/Italian mother give me for my 13 hours? A f'n hand shake! I drove home stunned. Literally in shock.

Asians, Hispanics, Jews, Armenians, Blacks, Welsh, Scottish, Italians...from my experience, they're your cheap bastards! And some people defend their cheapness claiming it's handed down throughout their generations; a cultural thing. Well get the hell over it!

I hope John doesn't mind publishing this. I've had a bad day and in a venting mood.
