ACLU sues feds to ensure illegal aliens receive legal services

The ACLU, one of the leading organizations working to erode and ultimately end American sovereignty in the United States today, recently sued the federal government on behalf of several illegal alien invaders in order to force the Border Patrol and Customs officials to provide special treatment to these criminals. Unsurprisingly, they won the case.

Rather than simply immediately deporting any and all individuals - be they children or adults - caught illegally entering the United States, the feds are now essentially being forced to provide legal services and other state benefits to the criminal invaders. The Associated Press reports:

U.S. immigration authorities must revamp their practices to ensure Mexicans accused of living in the country illegally are properly informed of their right to a hearing before an immigration judge, according to a lawsuit settlement made public Wednesday.

The federal lawsuit was filed by the American Civil Liberties Union in Los Angeles on behalf of nine Mexican nationals and three organizations in June 2013. It alleges U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers in Southern California routinely have told Mexican immigrants they could face months in jail while their cases are decided and falsely informed them that they can easily arrange legal status once they're back in Mexico.

Immigrations authorities would offer voluntary departures, which prohibit immigrants from re-entering the U.S. for up to 10 years, according to the lawsuit. The voluntary departures can be offered to immigrants without criminal records, sparing them the possibility of stiffer penalties under formal deportation orders.

ICE and CBP said in a statement that officials use voluntary departures as an option for those who asked to be returned home in lieu of formal removal proceedings, "but in no case is coercion or deception tolerated."

The agencies said they have agreed to supplement their existing procedures to ensure foreign nationals fully understand the potential consequences of returning voluntarily to Mexico.

The ACLU said Wednesday that all the plaintiffs in the case would have been able to present viable cases before the court to remain in the United States had they been properly informed of their right to a hearing.

"If the agencies implement the agreement fully, never again should families be driven apart based on immigration enforcement practices that rely upon misinformation, deception, and coercion," said Sean Riordan, senior staff attorney for the ACLU of San Diego and Imperial Counties.

The settlement also includes class provisions — pending court approval — that would allow Mexicans who were steered toward signing their own expulsion orders and not properly told of their right to an immigration hearing during the last several years to seek to be reunited with their families in the United States.

The settlement will require immigration agencies to give detailed written and oral information about their rights and to establish an information hotline about the options. It would prohibit officials from "pre-checking" the box selecting voluntary departure on forms given to immigrants and would require agencies to allow people to use a phone, provide them with a list of legal service providers and allow them two hours to reach someone before making a decision.
Of course, anyone who has any understanding of American immigration policy knows full well that illegal aliens are regularly coddled and pampered by the various agencies of the federal government responsible for protecting America's borders and enforcing immigration law. But now it's official.

This entire immigration situation is just a nightmare. Not only is America - and virtually all traditionally White Western European and European-derived nations - being flooded with millions of unassimilable non-White legal immigrants, millions of illegal immigrants with virtually no skills or education are being granted special treatment after violating federal immigration laws. These people are criminals, plain and simple, and they are not even American citizens. Yet the ACLU and other anti-White organizations and individuals are doing all they can to ensure these people receive special treatment from the federal government and, ultimately, are allowed to settle permanently in the United States. It's pure madness.

  1. They have no rights under the US Constitution or ant US laws they are ILLEGAL

    1. Exactly. Deport them all immediately. I'd question them first to see if they have other illegal family members in the U.S., then deport them. This entire situation is insane, and is simply unacceptable.

    2. John, there is a second civil war coming to the US...Obama hits the amnesty button, and $hit will commence hitting the fan. I almost welcome the prospect at this point. So tired and angry at watching this great country slip away, not with a bang, but with a whimper. ...

    3. Illegal immigrants to receive Legal services at the request of legal citizens. And Americans want to blame President Obama for engaging in actions that encourage illegal immigration? Lol!!! Only in America.

  2. We have to keep lobbying with our own rhetoric and terminology. They *are* criminals, just for breaking into our country. Here's an interesting article on how the Guatemalans are forcing the orthodox jews out of their country all while central American leaders are telling us as americans we can't control who lives in our own country:

The jews say only jews can live in Israel, and central americans say only central americans can live in their lands, and that both try to invade and take over the US.

    1. Awesome! We need to see more of this.

  3. "The time is coming when we will have to pay for having been Christians for two-thousand years" -Nietzsche

    1. Not really a fan of Nietzsche and his anti-Christian writings. However, there is no doubt mainstream Christianity is a major problem these days. But is has been hijacked and perverted for centuries now.

  4. It just gets worse and worse...

As part of a legal settlement that will allow some illegal immigrants who deported themselves from Southern California to return to the United States, the federal government has agreed to advertise the settlement on various Mexican and Spanish-language media outlets.

The ACLU filed a class-action lawsuit last year on behalf of eleven illegal immigrants who deported themselves. The settlement reached on Wednesday will only cover "longtime California residents with relatives who are U.S. citizens and... young migrants whose parents brought them into the country illegally" who deported themselves between 2009 and 2013. An ACLU official has indicated that there were nearly 250,000 people who were "deported voluntarily from Southern California between 2009 and 2013" and estimated to the Los Angeles Times that the "number of repatriations could reach into the hundreds or thousands."

The U.S. government, through ad buys online, in print, on billboards, and on radio stations, will hope to reach "friends and family of the affected class" in Southern California and Mexico. According to the settlement, the federal government will advertise on television channels like Univision, ESPN Deportes, MundoFox, El Universal, and the Univision Deportes Network. They will also partner with People en Espanol and even the Mexico National Football Team in addition to placing billboards "in high population Mexican border cities of Tijuana, Tecate and Mexicali, as well as focusing placements near border crossings."

U.S. officials will also place "radio ads :60 in length... on top Spanish speaking radio stations near the Mexico/U.S. border." Those who search for "Lopez Case," "Lopez Class Action," "Voluntary Return to Mexico," "Rights for Detainees," "Detained by ICE," and "Returned to Mexico by ICE" will also be targeted with information about the settlement.

  5. Blue Pill versus Red Pill

John, despite your own understanding of the events of 9/11 and related, I'm afraid to say that from over here it appears that "The Matrix" still very much "has" you [and most, if not all, of your readers.]

If you are familiar with the movie "The Matrix" , you are probably aware of the "blue pill" /"red pill" concept.

You may well imagine yourself as having taken "the red pill" and as therefore currently being "outside the Matrix", as the heros of that movie are once they have taken that red pill.

However, I would suggest that you are still very much inside this matrix [i.e. blue pill] , and that the matrix most definitely still "has" you, [ as Morpheus says to Neo] if you continue to believe :

1] that governments can solve problems- or that they have _ever_ solved _any_ problem.

This single belief [ a fantasy, a chimera], is probably the most essential, central, part of a "blue pill" , "inside the matrix" belief system for an individual; _any_ individual.

In truth [i.e. "Red Pill"], there are ,and never have been, nor will there ever be in the future, _any_ government solutions to _any_ perceived problems in this world, including so-called "illegal" immigration.

WARNING!: a continued belief in this single lie will keep any individual firmly locked inside "The Matrix" for the rest of their life, unless they can find a way ["red pill"] to break free of it.

    Regards, onebornfree.
